Unwind as you float down the Root River with our tubing rentals! Our self-guided tubing adventure begins at our shop, located at 101 Parkway Ave South, Lanesboro, MN 55949. From there, you’ll drift along the picturesque south branch of the Root River, ending at the public access on Highway 16 near Whalan, Minnesota. Enjoy a relaxing 2.5–3 hour scenic float surrounded by breathtaking views — with complimentary shuttle service included.

 

Pricing:

• Regular Tube: $20.00

• Fancy Tube (Backrest + Cup Holder): $25.00

• Cooler Tube: $10.00

• Cooler: $5.00

 

All tube rentals are walk-ins only. 

Please note that all of our tubing rentals are traditional open-bottom river tubes. None of our tubes have bottoms.

Tubing Operating Hours:

Last time we send people out on the river is 2PM.

• Monday: 10AM – 2PM

• Tuesday: 10AM – 2PM

• Wednesday: 10AM – 2PM

• Thursday: 10AM – 2PM

• Friday: 9AM – 2PM

• Saturday: 9AM – 2PM

• Sunday: 11AM – 2PM

 

Last tube shuttle: 5PM
All rental equipment must be returned by 5PM or additional charges will apply.

Itinerary:

• Arrive before 2PM to get on the river.

• Parking is available at Bass Pond (located directly behind our building across the river) or via street parking.

• During check-in, we require either:

  • (1) Photo ID or

  • Car keys (one per group)
    These will be returned at the conclusion of your tubing experience.

• Waiver signatures are required at check-in.

• Payment will be collected at this time.

• Tubes and any requested life jackets will be provided.

 

Reminder: Last shuttle is at 5PM. All rental equipment must be returned by 5PM or additional charges will apply.

Important Details:

• Age Requirement: 6+

• Weight Limit: Up to 300 lbs

• Duration: 2.5 – 3 hours

• Please note that all of our tubing rentals are traditional open-bottom river tubes. None of our tubes have bottoms.

• No Styrofoam or glass allowed.

• Last river departure is 2PM.

• Last shuttle runs at 5PM. All equipment must be returned by 5PM or you will be charged.

To bring personal items on the river, you may purchase a cooler tube for $10. Please note that the cooler is not included—this purchase is for the tube only. We also offer cooler rentals for $5; simply ask the front desk at check-in.
